#45 – Apricot
Bottled (12) 750ml and (24) 375ml (from 5 gallons) at 14% ABV on 22 November 2014.
One of these days I’ll learn to review my wines sooner rather than later… It usually takes a while to post these reviews (sometimes a very long while) and then I change the publish date to match the bottling date. If I had done this Apricot review sooner, I wouldn’t have needed to open one of the very last non-reserve bottles I had left… So, that’s the down side. On the other hand, I’m now sipping and enjoying one of the very best wines I’ve made! 🙂
The wine is a light-but rich yellow and it smells just like the apricots I used to make the wine. Likewise the flavor is very apricot-y, but manages to stay light and half-dry.
